چکیده

Abstract This paper develops a model that generates rising average leisure time and increasing inequality along path of balanced growth. Households derive utility from three sources: market goods, home goods leisure. Home production are both activities require capital. allocate capital to these non-market supply labor. The dynamics driven by activity-specific TFP growth spread in the distribution household-specific labor efficiencies. When is set replicate increase wage across education groups, can account for observed series cross-sectional U.S. over last five decades.
